Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of guardfoxsecurity.com, the GuardFox hosted demo, and the GuardFox Security Systems platform (together, the "Service"), provided by GuardFox Security Systems ("GuardFox," "we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Note: this is a general-purpose terms template reflecting how the product actually works today. It is not a substitute for advice from qualified legal counsel — have it reviewed before relying on it, especially the liability, warranty, and governing-law sections, and before entering into a paid contract with a customer.
1. The Service
GuardFox Security Systems is an AI-native security operations platform (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, deception, vulnerability and attack-surface management, and related modules) available in three ways: a self-hosted, open-source Community edition; a hosted Professional plan; and a custom-contracted Enterprise plan. The plan-specific features, limits, and support levels are described on our Pricing page, which forms part of these terms for paid plans.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your organization to create an account. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account, including actions taken by other users your organization's administrators invite.
3. Acceptable use
GuardFox includes tools designed for authorized security operations on systems and networks you own or are explicitly authorized to test — including network/port scanning, endpoint agent deployment, remote endpoint response actions, and deception decoys. You agree to use these features only against assets you own or have documented authorization to assess. You may not:
- Use the Service to scan, attack, or gain unauthorized access to systems you do not own or lack authorization to test
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or a third party's rights
- Attempt to circumvent multi-tenant isolation, rate limits, or access controls, or to access another organization's data without authorization
- Reverse-engineer the hosted Service (this does not apply to the open-source Community edition, which you may inspect and modify per its license)
- Resell or white-label the hosted Service without a separate written agreement
4. Your data
You (or your organization) own the security telemetry, logs, and configuration data you input into or generate within the Service ("Customer Data"). We process Customer Data solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any data you send into the Service, including any third-party data.
5. Fees & payment
The Community edition is free and self-hosted, provided "as is" with community support only. Professional and Enterprise plans are billed as described at checkout or in your order form; Enterprise agreements are invoice-based (PO / net-30) unless otherwise agreed. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in your order form. We may suspend access for non-payment after reasonable notice.
6. Free trials & demos
The hosted live demo is provided for evaluation only, is read-only, shares a common dataset across all visitors, and resets on a regular schedule — do not enter real or sensitive data into it. Any trial access we grant is provided "as is," may be modified or revoked at any time, and carries no service-level commitment.
7. Disclaimers
GuardFox is a tool that assists your team in detecting, investigating, and responding to security threats. It does not guarantee prevention of any specific attack, breach, or outcome, and effective security also depends on your organization's own configuration, processes, and personnel. Except as expressly stated in a written order form, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuardFox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service — including the Community edition, hosted demo, or any paid plan — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a security or legal risk to us or others. Upon termination, your right to access the hosted Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. Sections 4, 7, 8) will continue to apply.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; for paid customers, we'll provide reasonable advance notice of changes that materially reduce your rights. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
[Placeholder — insert your company's actual governing law and venue here before publishing, e.g. "the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles."]
